I finished Things Become Other Things and it was an absolutely exquisite read and a beautiful physical book. I couldn’t put it down. I replaced nearly everything else I would normally spend time doing over a weekend and read instead. I haven’t enjoyed a book this much in a while. I was already a big fan of Craig’s work. Now I’m an even bigger fan. I’m planning to go see him when he’s in LA. Last time I saw him was at XOXO last year. He interviewed Jason Kottke. I also went on a fun photo walk around Portland organized by Sam (I think) and captured a nice photo of them talking.

I finally broke down and got a subscription to Kagi, not just because it’s really the best (traditional) search engine, but because I want Kagi to exist in the world. I’ve also been using their Orion browser, but I’m still using Arc as my daily driver.

I’m a big Neal Stephenson fan. He posted his remarks on AI from a recent conference. You should read the whole thing, but this was particularly concerning. It aligns with what I hear from the students I speak to.

Apple’s “Hold That Thought” Shortcut for Global Accessibility Awareness Day is the kind of Apple I love seeing – clever and useful. (h/t matthewcassinelli)
