You and your family deserve the best, so we’re working hard to improve Notabli.
I’m fickle when it comes to apps, but this one is different. Having a kid changes your life and the app that I’ve been using to document everything is Notabli. My family loves it and it’s a hell of a lot easier than sending text messages to the family, though I’m forced to do that as well since some people don’t have iPhones or don’t know how to install apps on their iPhones. I’m gonna fix one of those family members next week.
I deleted my Facebook account today. It’s the second time I’ve done this and I don’t think I’ll be going back. I’m trying to be more focused. Twitter and Tumblr provide so much more value and I’d like to think I contribute back. That’s the power of a social network. I despise everything that Facebook stands for and I need to just be a better friend and family member to those I care about instead of just waiting for them to post something on Facebook.
All violence, all that is dreary and repels, is not power, but the absence of power.
We need to be angry and empathize with the victims without being scared. Our fears would play right into the perpetrators’ hands – and magnify the power of their victory for whichever goals whatever group behind this, still to be uncovered, has. We don’t have to be scared, and we’re not powerless. We actually have all the power here, and there’s one thing we can do to render terrorism ineffective: Refuse to be terrorized.
