So amazing, in fact, that we have no choice but to let you all go.
It’s the end of the web as we know it. The end of wading through unhelpful results to get reliable information?! OMG what ever will the advertisers do?? Publishers and content owners will license their content, the AI Answer Companies will pass along the costs to consumers just as they’re used to accessing everything for free, subsidized by venture capital and it will just become another monthly subscription. What am I missing?
Excited to have acquired a first printing of The Dark Forest Anthology of the Internet, written by some of my favorite writers about all things Internet.
It feels like American society is getting ever more polarized. Conspiracies, especially among right-wing extremists, can be a force multiplier for radicalization. The problem is that once people believe in a conspiracy, they aren’t likely to change their mind.
Matt Haughey moved his site from WordPress to Ghost. I started doing the same a few months back, but chickened out when it became clear that importing 20+ years of posts was going to take some technical skills that I didn’t have, but I would definitely like to do it.
